Urban design, landscape architecture and environmental planning.
We focus on integrating the larger picture into local solutions.
LANDinc has evolved from a Landscape architecture practice started by Patrick Morello in 1999 to develop into a multi-disciplinary integrated design firm today. The firm has held onto its position of being a process oriented design firm with a focus on design quality and innovation with economic sensibilities that remains refreshing and unique. As per its name, the firm is rooted in the concept of land as place, meaning, and metaphor. The firm has grown to include successful plans and built projects
throughout Canada and internationally. Projects that include the world renowned community skatepark in Brampton, Ontario; the plans for Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Canada; The first phase of the new Ontario Place Urban Park and Waterfront Trail; new communities on the North Coast of Egypt; Morocco’s first Sustainable City and community in the High Atlas Mountains; and projects such as the celebrated Cornice (waterfront park) in downtown Abu Dhabi - the Capital City of the United Arab Emirates.
WHY WE PRACTICE
We see the world as a complex system of interconnected parts.
A system composed of the natural and human built.
We believe landscape (LAND) is the starting point.
LAND as the primary surface, the most direct point of contact. It is the place upon which we stand, the connective tissue of our world.
We believe that understanding the potentials of LAND is the formative step in urban development and community building.
We believe LAND holds the power to connect, inspire and heal.
LANDinc’s mission is to advance ideas and develop designs that bring about strong and resilient communities at home and abroad.
We seek to lead the way and support like-minded professionals, to find beautiful and lasting solutions to the complex problems of an ever-changing world.
Our multi-disciplinary LAND based practice will work with forward thinking clients to create the world’s most amazing places.
