NTU MASTERPLAN

Environmentally sustainable.

The landscape master plan developed for Nanyang Technological University aims to enhance the already substantial interaction occurring between buildings, people and gardens on campus, further reinforcing the university’s identity as an eco-friendly campus.

Based on an ecological theory of ‘patches, corridors, and matrix’, the master plan outlines a long term strategy to re-connect the fragmented patches of landscape into a sustainable whole that will enhance the biodiversity of the campus. This strategy includes the creation of an integrated network of green and blue corridors comprising wetlands, parks, cycling, jogging, and walking trails for an environmentally sustainable and integrated landscape.
