LANDinc Joins Canadian Council for Indigenous Business

At LANDinc, we are committed to meaningful and sustained engagement with Indigenous communities across our projects. Through our work on the Ontario Place Public Realm Redevelopment, we have collaborated closely with Elder Shelley Charles of Minokamik and engaged with First Nation communities and Indigenous organizations to ensure Indigenous perspectives are deeply woven into the design process. Guided by Indigenous knowledge keepers and community partners, our efforts have included multiple engagement sessions, extensive design collaboration, and the development of placekeeping features rooted in Indigenous traditions of environmental stewardship, storytelling, language, and ceremony. This work reflects our belief that public spaces should honour the spirit of the land and water, and celebrate the diverse Indigenous cultures and histories connected to them.

We are proud to take this commitment further by becoming official members of the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB)—joining a national network dedicated to supporting Indigenous inclusion, leadership, and collaboration.
