- Description:
The development of the Mayfield West community master plan started with the facilitation
of a series of public workshops involving local constituents, landowners, and
municipal government specialist groups. The development of principles and physical
planning objectives for a new rural community of approximately 20,000 residents
were developed for this 400 acre site surrounded by agricultural lands and
significant natural features.
LANDinc subsequently developed a master plan alternative
for the Mayfield West development that would allow the existing community to
study further development issues including: Highway 10 extension off-ramp interchange; allocation of land for mixed-use residential / commercial; a new town centre; high,
medium and low density residential; high school and other new town services.
